IndiGo Airlines has issued a travel advisory alerting passengers flying to or from Goa to expect possible disruptions due to persistent heavy rainfall affecting the region. With the India Meteorological Department (IMD) placing Goa under an orange alert for intense precipitation, flight schedules are likely to face delays or changes.
The advisory stressed that inclement weather could lead to delays in departures and arrivals, urging all passengers to monitor the status of their flights regularly. “Given the challenging weather conditions in Goa, some flights may not operate on time. We encourage all passengers to verify their flight details before heading to the airport,” the airline noted.
Travelers have also been advised to factor in extra travel time due to the likelihood of waterlogged roads and slowed traffic caused by heavy downpours. IndiGo emphasized, “We advise guests to plan their airport commute accordingly, as local traffic may also be adversely affected by the rain.”
To support passengers during this period, IndiGo assured that its customer support channels are fully operational and ready to assist. “Our customer service representatives are available across all platforms, including social media, phone, and airport counters, to help you manage your travel plans and address any concerns,” the airline added.
Goa has been witnessing continuous rain over the past few days, with the IMD warning of more showers in the coming days. Travelers are urged to stay updated with local weather advisories and make necessary travel adjustments.
